PENGARUH EKSTRAK ROSELA (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) TERHADAP KUANTITAS SPERMA MENCIT (Mus musculus) DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA MATERI BIOLOGI SMA

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the sperm quantity of male mice (Mus musculus) and obtain information about the relationship of ethanol extract of rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa) to the quantity (number) of male mice sperm (Mus musculus). In addition, to determine the dose that can cause the maximum sperm quantity of mice. The method used is an experimental method with a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatment consisted of a dose of P0 mg / 0.1 ml aquadest / 10 g weight, P1 3 mg / 0.1 ml aquadest / 10 g weight, P2 6 mg / 0.1 ml aquadest / 10 g weight, and P3 9 mg / 0.1 ml aquadest / 10 g weight. Roselle extract solution is given gavage for 35 days. The selected mouse weighs 29-40 grams with the age of 3-4 months. On the 36th day of treatment, the mice were dislocated by the neck and their epididymis taken and then made a suspension with 0.9% NaCl. The diversity analysis calculation was used and a further BJND test was conducted. The average number of sperm of P0, P1, P2 and P3 mice was 133.67 x 106 / ml, 163 x 106 / ml, 179.5 x 106 / ml, 148.67 x 106 / ml. The results showed that rosella ethanol extract at a dose of 6 mg / 0.1 ml aquadest / 10 g BB maximally increased the number of sperm in mice and was the most effective dose to increase the number of mice. The results of this study are expected to be an enrichment material for learning Biology Class X Semester II in Basic Competence 3.7. Applying the principle of classification to classify plants into the divisio based on observations of plant morphology and metagenesis and linking their role in the survival of life on earth
