Abstract

individuals who have been damaged or impaired due to deformities or defects in the normal functioning of bones, muscles, and joints.  This obstacle can be due to birth or illness/accident. These barriers can have psychological repercussions for those affected by mental impairment. One of them is the problem of self-acceptance. Self-acceptance is important for people with disabilities for a variety of reasons individuals feel ashamed or inferior to their limitations. This study used a systematic literature review method through journal reviews on self-acceptance in people with disabilities due to accidents. Literature search is done using google schoolar with the same keywords namely self-acceptance and disability, accidents. Based on the literature of 10 journals, it shows that the process of self-acceptance passed by people with disabilities is not easy and is influenced by internal factors (such as feelings of inferiority, helplessness, lack of confidence, and external factors (such as family support, stigma, discrimination from the environment, and so on.
