Abstract

This study aims to discuss the role of parents in preventing and overcoming sexual deviations in today's adolescents. This study used the literature review research method, in which the results of research published in the last 5 years were reviewed against the differences in all the studies reviewed related to the role of parents in preventing and overcoming sexual deviations in today's adolescents. The researcher concludes the results and discussion that parents have a very important role in sexual education because parents are the primary source of information for children in getting to know and learn new things. The family as the first educational institution plays a very important role, especially in terms of awareness, transmission and development of social and cultural moral values. Thus, the younger generation can recognize moral values and social norms and practice social skills through family education.
