Abstract

This study aims to produce a chemistry module based on discovery learning with a green chemistry approach on valid acid-base material and to determine the response of students to the developed module. This research is a development research (Research and Development) with the development procedure adopted from the three stages of development contained in the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, and development. Data were obtained from interviews and filling out questionnaire sheets. This study involved 2 lecturers and 1 material expert teacher, 1 learning media expert and 1 linguist. The subject of the small-scale trial consisted of 5 students and the medium-scale trial consisted of 30 students. The results show that the developed module is valid and can be used, with a percentage of linguistic expert validators 86.67% with a very valid category, learning media expert validators 94.81% with a very valid category, material expert lecturers 89.2% with a very valid and 92.00% material expert teachers with very valid categories. Student responses to discovery learning-based chemistry modules with a green chemistry approach on acid-base material can be said to be very good, in smallscale trials, the percentage score is 88% in the very good category, in medium-scale trials, the percentage is 89.47% with very good category
