Abstract
Millennial teenagers are now very familiar with social media. Creating and monitoring the growth of a teenager's personality so that they are qualified in the digital era is a complex challenge for parents. The growth of adolescents in forming a personality with good character during the transition to adulthood is also an important milestone for them. The aim of this research; Want to read about teenage phenomena and their challenges in using social media, for example Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X (Twitter), threads, which influence personality development in teenagers; introvert, extrovert and ambivert. The aim of this research is also to explain how impressions ( the way something looks or appears) grow on a teenager's personality, what effects and impacts social media has on the growth of a teenager's personality. Using qualitative-based research methods, this paper refers to the implementation of parents' strategies as guides and observers of a teenager's personality. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of documentation and observation studies. Documentary studies can take the form of books, journal articles both available online and offline regarding the personality issues of teenagers who actively use social media networks in the digital era. Which will affect growth during the transition to adulthood, making it a challenge for parents. Results; Teenagers use social media and follow the styles of figures they see on social media, making teenagers think instantly to match those on social media. However, the direction of parents, especially mothers, is still very decisive and quite meaningful in this case.
