The development of Hadith Studies in the Digital realm

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the development of hadith studies in the digital realm. This study uses a qualitative approach by applying descriptive analytical methods. The results of the research and discussion show that in the process of its development, hadith experienced several periods, from the period of being preserved in memorization to the period of keeping (bookkeeping). By experiencing the convenience offered by the digital world and seeing that the development of hadith in the previous period was not very effective, hadith scientists began to encourage the development of hadith with an attractive packaging (hadith in digital form). This study concludes that with the development of hadith studies in this digital era, many hadith books have been digitized, namely a form of transferring hadith books packaged in software which brings benefits and challenges to hadith reviewers in particular and all the general public.
