Agnosticism between scientific and religious truth: Bertrand Russell's study of thought

In Bertrand Russell's thought, religion and science contradict each other, in contrast to the Qur'an which describes the absence of contradictions. The research is formulated in two scientific problems i.e. how is the truth of science and religion in the perspective of Bertrand Russell and how is the truth viewed from religion and science. This study aims to find out the truth of science and religion in the perspective of Bertrand Russell and examine the truth in terms of science and religion. This research is Library Research which uses qualitative data. The data sources of this research consist of primary data sources and secondary data sources. Primary data sources are in the form of books written directly by Bertrand Russell such as Russell's book on Religion, Religion on Science, Why I am Not a Christian and the translation of Godless Without Religion. Secondary data sources are in the form of books, articles, and videos related to agnostic studies. Collecting data in this study using documentation techniques. Data analysis used is analytical narrative method. The results of the study found that the truth of science and religion from Bertrand Russell's perspective contradict each other. According to Bertrand Russell, religion must be based on reason which is part of science. So that the truth is scientific truth. meanwhile, in fact religion and science are not contradictory to each other. This is evidenced by the discovery of scientific verses in the Qur'an by world scientists such as Maurice Bucaille and Prof. Keith Moore. This is because the source of truth in science and religion is God
