Abstract

The learning process at Muhammadiyah  High School number 3 in Palembang more often uses conventional methods. The 2013 curriculum emphasizes the process of passive learning into active learning patterns. Muhammadiyah 3 Palembang High School has not implemented a learning model that is able to make students more active during the learning process. This can cause boredom and make students less understanding of the material delivered. The influence of this research is to determine the effect of think pair share learning models assisted by student worksheets (LKPD) on biodiversity material on the learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Palembang. Design used in this study were quasi-experimental with one group pretest posttest design.The sample used in a class with a total of 24 students as an experimental.The instruments used were interview sheets, Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), test sheets and LKPD. Measuring instrument used to determine the ability of students' cognitive learning outcomes is a pretest-posttest test sheet in the form of multiple choice questions with the help of LKPD. Data analysis in this study used validity, reliability, N-Gain, normality, homogeneity and hypothesis tests. The results showed that there was an influence of think pair share learning models on student learning outcomes supported by the results of hypothesis testing with the results of asymp scores. Sign (2-tailed) is 0,000 <0.05 which states that H0 is rejected, it means that the think pair share learning model has an effect on the learning outcomes of class X students of Muhammadiyah 3 Palembang High School.
